The barbed male Tee to 25mm push fit barbs are used exclusively with LDPE pipe. This is a thinner walled pipe than the MDPE which is used underground and should be used with compression fittings.
As with all Barbed fittings quality of the fitting and quality of the pipe are key to the successful long term integrity of the distribution system.
The barbed fitting are made in the EU using UV stabilized plastic and large sharp barbs. The LDPE pipe that we stock is made in Holland and matches the quality and precision of the barbed fitting. Once the barbed fitting is inserted correctly the fitting is rated to a maximum of 6 bar unlike domestic quality fittings that in some cases are only rated to 2.1 bar
