Saddles clamp on to a 63mm outside diameter pipe and have an O Ring round the threaded outlet. AS the bolts are tightened the O ring forms a seal. You then get your drill and drill a hole smaller than the thread size in to the pipe. You now have an outlet that you can thread any 3/4" BSP thread in to and attach valves , pop up or reduced diameter spurs
