Seal formed via O ring rather than rubber flap
The seal in Unidelta fittings is formed by an O ring rather than a rubber flap and this makes it much easier to fit if the pipes do not quite align.
Fitting instructions
Remove the blue nut and slide this over the pipe
Slide the white grip ring over the pipe and slide it back from the pipe end
Make sure that the cut end of the pipe is square and clean. A bevel can be shape on to the pipe and this will make it easier to fit the fitting
To ease installation a silicon gel can be applied to the end of the pipe and the O ring
Push the pipe inside the fitting. The pipe will stop when it touches the O Ring
Now push again and you will feel the pipe slide over the O ring. The pipe will slide beyond the O ring by between 12 and 20mm depending on the size of the fitting being used.
Slide the white grip fitting up to the fitting
Pull the blue nut down and tighten the fitting. Tighten the fitting so that it is hand tight and now continue to tighten the blue nut with some grips. Do not over tighten the fitting
Instructions for Copper or plastic fitting
Remove black nut and grip ring
Slide these on to the copper 15mm or 22mm pipe.
Lubricate the large rubber internal seal
Push the pipe in to the fitting. 22 mm pipe will stop just after the large rubber seal. 15mm will continue past the rubber seal for about another 12 mm
pull the nut and grip ring up and tighten the nut firmly
