This is a very simple kit using the Hunter Mp Rotator nozzle which is now used in most locations because of the very even application of water per square metre and the water savings that are made because the water is applied slowly over a longer period of time.
The secondary advantage is that the pop ups can often be used with mains water pressure because of the low flow rates and pressures.
Before purchasing this kit you should first check that your water flow from the tap is a minimum of 1200 lph and that the pressure during the day is above 2.3 bar. To measure the flow rate you will need a 10 litre bucket and measure the amount of time that it takes for the bucket to be filled to the 10 litre mark. Providing this takes less than 30 seconds then you know that you have more than 1200 litres per hour. The system if used as 4 x 90 and 1 x 360 = 561 litres per hour. A 1 hour watering will apply 11 mm of water to the lawn
The kit includes
5 Spray Bodies 3" Height These are used as the main spray bodies which take the Mp rotators
5 Swinging arms ( Universal joints for pop ups makes installation very easy ) These are used to make the adjustment of the sprinkler body height and the other end is threaded in to the 25 mm - 1/2" female threaded fitting or in to the pipe saddle
4 MP 2000 90 - 210 degrees These are used in the corners of the square and are adjusted to 90 degrees.
1 MP2000 360 degrees Used in the middle of the lawn
50 metres of 25mm water pipe This is a good sized pipe which is 10 bar rated and suitable for installation below ground. We would suggest that the pipe is installed at 1 spades depth or a spit
4 25 mm elbows Pretty obvious used if you have a sharp tun in the pipe however thee may not be needed if you can flex the pipe in a gentle curve. The general rule is to try and us as few fittings below ground as possible
3 25mm - 1/2" pipe saddles Clamp the pipe saddle on to the pipe in the approximate location that you need the pop ups in the corners to go. Do not forget to insert the O ring in to the back of the saddle so that a water tight seal is formed as you tighten the bolts up. Once tight drill a hole in to the pipe ( about 3/8"
1 25 mm tee Pretty obvious this is used for the sprinkler in the middle
2 25 mm - 1/2" BSP Female Studs (At the end of the line and then a swinging arm and pop up are threaded in )
1 25 mm - 3/4 " Female stud ( To connect to the tap or timer)
1 Roll PTFE Tape ( Used on the threaded joints to seal them)
